Supplies, and where to find them.
What to get
Obtain before we begin the second project:
- Artist’s kneaded eraser
- Gluestick
- Sketch paper pad, preferably 9×12 in. (at least 50 sheets)
- Portfolio or heavyweight envelope (for carrying work; at least 13×19 in.)
- Toolbox or bag to transport supplies
- Sketchbook, any size
- Digital camera or high-quality smartphone camera (loaners cameras available through Visual Resource Center)
The graphic design program will provide you with other items:
- Technical pens
- Mechanical pencils
- Tracing paper pads
More tools are available in the design studios:
- Craft knives
- T-squares, straightedges, and drafting triangles
- Paper cutters and guilotines
Where to find art supplies
You can find art supplies online, or at a number of area stores. Buy supplies early.
